Smartphone manufacturers are constantly searching to offer unique features not seen before in any other smartphone.
Such is the case of OPPO, which according to the Tigermobiles website has registered a new patent at the National Intellectual Property Office of China (CNIPA) for a smartphone design with a side pop-up camera. As we can see in the images, the phone comes with a screen that occupies the entire front panel, with a pop-up camera on the right side. While the rear view of the phone houses a configuration of dual cameras.
But this is not the only novelty that OPPO has brought since at the Future Technology Conference of 2019, it exhibited a science fiction smartphone that uses a camera under the screen. This device lacks physical buttons and openings. The power key is designed with pressure sensitivity. This not only makes the phone look exceptional and gives it a technological look, but also guarantees greater durability. In addition, the screen of this machine also has no openings since the phone uses camera technology under the screen.
Officially, Oppo calls it ‘panoramic screen in perspective’. Compared to the version that Oppo exhibited in June last year, its front camera area is much smaller. Therefore, it is now easier to hide and difficult to find without looking closely. However, the company has revealed that this phone is only a prototype for demonstration and did not disclose whether it will be commercially available.
