Apparently, the Japanese giant Sony is preparing to launch a Plus variant of the Xperia 5 smartphone. This is reviewed by OnLeaks, a source that has a good reputation for being reliable and has provided on other occasions smartphone images not yet officially released.
The Sony Xperia 5 Plus will have a diagonal screen higher than that of the standard version, therefore, the body size also increases. For photography, the phone incorporates a triple camera configuration that includes a ToF sensor. The front of the mobile has the same aesthetics of the original model that is characterized by the presence of the frames, but smaller. The superior integrates the camera for selfies.
The screen size will be approximately 6.6 inches with an aspect ratio of 21: 9. This screen is expected to be based on OLED technology. The fingerprint reader is located on the side. There is also a single front camera of 8 megapixels. The phone will measure 168.2 x 71.6 x 8.1, a size slightly larger than the Xperia 1 with measures 167 x 72 x 8.2 mm.
There are still more details about the set of specifications that the Sony Xperia 5 Plus will have. In addition, there is no information on the date the company plans to present the new device. Sony is present at the CES 2020 technology event that will start from January 7 in Las Vegas. However, in the previous edition of this event it did not present new smartphones. Therefore, the presentation of the Sony Xperia 5 Plus could be postponed until the end of February during the Mobile World Congress.
